VANCOUVER — Silver is a precious medal, too. That is especially true for the USA in Olympic ice dancing, so University of Michigan students Meryl Davis and Charlie White are being swamped with congratulations by every means of modern communication.
"It's been an amazing 24 hours," Davis said at a press conference Tuesday,
a day after she and White placed second to their training partners, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada
in the Vancouver Winter Games.Virtue and Moir won Canada's first Olympic gold in ice dancing since the
skating discipline was added in 1976.
